My Bio

"I'm representing Queens but I was raised out in Jersey", 29yr old Soul R&B singer WynterStar always says. The age of 5 is the earliest time Star can remember wanting to sing. "Music has always been an escape for me. My life isn't exactly a fairy tale". Adopted at 3, Star grew up in Bergen County, NJ. Never seeming to stay out of trouble, she found herself at a Christian Home for troubled teens in Upstate NY where she found her voice. By the age of 15, she was singing, recording, touring stateside & Abroad in the school's Gospel group. "Oh I miss touring! We would travel ALL over the US & Canada performing in front of hundreds sometimes thousands of people! Schools, Churches, Hotels, Banquets, Public Places, wherever!". Four years later, she returned to New Jersey & met her fiancée, partner & manager. "After meeting my fiancée Randy, I knew which direction I wanted my music to go. He taught me how to play the keyboard and to song write. I was always a poet, but he taught me how to translate that poetry melodically. Now WynterStar portrays powerful lyrics about life & the issues facing today's society." All I can say is her honest, raspy voice will captivate you and her lyrics will make you think.
